PARASAILING
Humanity has always sought to conquer the sky. Just remember the myth of the flight of Icarus, which took off, but crashed, rising too close to the sun. Later, Da Vinci tried to create an aircraft, but only the Wright brothers made the dream of many a reality. However, there is no sense of flight on the plane, as you are in a confined space. To fly a paraglider or parachute, special skills are needed, but parasailing, which has become a trend recently (translated from English – “sail”), is quite suitable even for beginners who want to see the local landscape from a bird’s eye view.
Parasailing is an extreme form of entertainment, which is a parachute driven by a boat, motobike or other vehicle using a rope. As an attraction, it entered our life relatively recently, but its origins originate in the 60s of the last century. Lemoignier became an innovator. Thus, the landing troops were prepared for combat operations. And in 1974, parasailing acquired the form that we know today, only then it was called Waterbird, i.e. “Water bird”, which, in principle, is logical. Now parasailing is an invariable part of all self-respecting resorts.
Those who decided on this unsafe pastime should strictly adhere to safety precautions, which the instructor must tell about. The usual team providing these services consists of 3 people: an instructor with an assistant and a ship driver. You should always pay attention to how the team conducts preparatory activities. It’s better not to put your health or even life at stake if you see that you are laymen who are negligent in taking precautions. Each group that provides its parasailing services has a license and documents for equipment. The flight director should tell you from what position to take off and how to land correctly, how to behave in unforeseen circumstances, which means special signs of the instructor.
To minimize risks, it is necessary to take into account weather conditions (wind speed not higher than 8 m / s, lack of precipitation and fog), terrain (there should be an open space without barriers in the form of rocks, trees, etc.), soaring weight (maximum 80-100 kg) and its physical condition (cardiovascular and respiratory systems should be normal). For a perfect flight at a height of 60 meters, a rope length of 120 meters is used. In this case, the driver must squeeze 50-60 km / h. The maximum number of air passengers should not exceed 3 people, and with the increase in the number of extremals, the power of the boat should also be higher. Take-off is carried out both from the water surface, and from land.
This “attraction” is quite acceptable: it costs about 2000 rubles for 10 minutes of insane pleasure from the surging adrenaline in the blood. The preparation itself also lasts 10 minutes. There are daredevils who also try to perform various tricks during the flight for even more unforgettable sensations. Someone succeeds, but still neglecting the words of the instructor can lead to irreparable. There have already been cases of death. In the UAE, parasailing was even banned after a 10-year-old boy crashed. Now this pleasure is available only to adults.
